Video Games (Playstation and PC)

The Last of Us

My absolute favorite video game of all time. Beautiful memories. ...Also a lot of memories of my parents forcing me to get off the game and go to bed at like 3 in the morning back when I was in highschool.

Assassin's Creed series

A really fun series of games. My favorites from within the series are probably the Ezio trilogy (Assassin's Creed Two, AC: Brotherhood, and AC: Revelations).

Ori and the Blind Forest

A gorgeous, fantastic game! Game mechanics take skill to utilize, the story line is meaningful, and the artwork is breathtaking.

Portal (and Portal 2)

The first one was a lot of fun and had a really cool, creepy storyline if you looked for it, and then the second game way stepped it up! Massive world, more game mechanics to work with, a really amazing development of the storyline, and fun new characters to interact with!

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit

While I have played others in the series, Hot Pursuit is probably my favorite so far.

Journey (Flow, and Flower)

If you want to really relax while you play a video game, play Journey. GORGEOUS graphics, just absolutely stunning. The two other games that come with Journey, Flow and Flower are also beautiful and relaxing, but Journey is my favorite.

Tron: Legacy

If you like the movie, you will probably really like the game!

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Wow. My first real experience with open-world gaming. Amazing. I made the dumb decision to buy the game during finals one semester in college. Not the best timing...

Blazing Angels 2

I had a ton of fun playing this game and playing split-screen multiplayer with my younger brother.

Sports Champions

This is a game for the PS3 Move system. I spent many a day sore because I was sword fighting for 3 hours straight on this game the day before. Several fun sports to play, and good goals and trophies along the way to keep you motivated.  Just be careful and maybe don't play just archery for 2 hours at a time.

Phone Games
(All free. I refuse to pay money for a phone game.)

Zombie Gunship

Fun zombie killer with a are killing them from a bomber plane. Lots of fun hours spent on this one.

Zombie Highway (NOT the second one)

Driving down the road knocking zombies off your vehicle with firearms and broken down cars on the highway. Nice.

Gun Fu: Stickman Edition

You play as a stick man with a small arsenal of weapons. Shoot the baddies as fast as possible. Fun game for testing and speeding up your reaction times.

This is a very different game. You can choose from a couple different scenarios, and then play as a stranded hiker, etc. You have to find your way to safety and survive the trip, but it is all text-based. You have to work to find food and water, find a path, not got hurt, not get too cold, etc. Different levels of difficulty keep you working hard for the satisfaction of living to the end.

Alto (and Odyssey)

Really fun, calm side- and continuous-scrolling game. (I compare it to Journey in some ways.) You begin playing as a young boy whose llamas escape. You take off on your snowboard and chase them down the mountains, avoiding pitfalls and angry elders from your tribe along the way.

Smash Hit

Smash Hit is an especially fun game to play if you angry, as you can turn up the sound and listen to smashing glass as you go! 4/5 very therapuetic. (Also, I found out an accidental hack to keep my bonuses if I mess up!)

Board Games

Never Ending Stories (link)

I got this game as a young kid because I loved making up stories. Now, my best friend and I love to play this game, because it is very simple (meant for ages 6+), but we can make the stories outrageous, outlandish, amazingly complex, and just plain hysterical if we want to. What should be a 10 minute game turns into a 30 minute convoluted saga with so many twists and turns it would make a roundabout dizzy! Sometimes we like to see just how crazy we can make each play!

Trivial Pursuit - Lord of the Rings: Trilogy Edition

(link) I bought this game from a Toys-R-Us with a gift card when I was young, and it hasn't lost its appeal! How can it? Lord of the Rings is a classic! Really fun to play, especially after you finish a trilogy watching marathon. The game quizzes over details large and small from the movies as well as behind the scenes information found in the extras.

Chutes and Ladders (do you really need a link for this one?)

You may think this game is all about chance, luck...and you would be right. You may think I'm crazy (and you would be right), but I kid you not, my best friend has freakishly good luck at winning this game. It defies all odds! So obviously we have to test her luck out every now and again and see if she's still got it!
