I know this may not be what you expected. I didn't expect to pick this photo either. But when I was looking through my photos to pick one for the beginning of the year, this whimsical shot is what spoke to me. These are two of my favorite buddies, Moosey (left) and Evan (the sloth in Moosey’s arms). Together they are watching the sun rise on a brand new decade. Fresh, bright, and beautiful. This photo helps me to look at the coming years with a quiet joy and hope./Jan 1, 2020
I found out the day before that we were getting another one of these where I live! Around 9 my best friend and I took my tripod and all my blankets outside and set up a nest. Unfortunately, my pictures weren't as good this year as there was a haze. We watched until after midnight, and then headed inside frozen.Super - it's gonna look big / Blood - it's gonna look red / Wolf - the full moon in January / Eclipse (in this case lunar) - the moon will be blocked by the shadow of the earth/Jan 20
I truly believe this is one of the best, most professional, magazine-worthy photos I have ever taken. (Specifically, it looks like something I might see in an REI ad) My best friend and I were hiking in the Savage Gulf State Natural Area in Tennessee when this photo was taken. This particular spot was somewhere on the bluffs along the stone door trail. This photo just yodels "aesthetic adventure" into the mountains. /March 10, 2020
