Rating: PG

Could I have watched this with my Dad? : Yeah!

Could I have watched this with my Mom? : Yes!

Language: None.

Sex/Romance: No sex (obviously), but some slight romance.

Violence/Gore: There is some violence and peril, death even, but no gore.

Music: Very appropriate (and enjoyable) for the level of lighthearted fun, somber moments, and drama in this movie.

Did I feel the need to leave the lights off and sit in silence afterward? : No.

Was there a food pairing? : Leftover barbeque burger, fresh-popped popcorn, and some mini Cadbury creme eggs for dessert. (God bless Cadbury, and for so many reasons, God bless Easter!)

The romance definitely felt thrown in there last minute, especially considering, they barely knew anything about each other, and she was still grieving her mother's death. (No spoilers, that is revealed first thing in the movie.)

Our protagonist (female) did have agency and real impact on the story! It wouldn't have worked without her, and she had her own power in the world. đź‘Ťđź‘Ť

The story had a good balance of somber moments (got me all choked up a couple times) and light, comedic moments (laughed quite hard several times, including a pretty big snort at one point!).

And I mean, just look at some of the names on the cast list! Aziz Ansari, Colin Farrell, Josh Hutcherson, Beyonce', Chris O'Dowd, Pitbull, Amanda Seyfried, Jason Sudeikis.

Was this a good use of a night with the house to myself? : Yes!

In the End: 5 out of 5 stars. They may be tiny, but their story is pretty epic.
