A Quiet Place

Rating: PG-13

Could I have watched this with my Dad? : Absolutely.

Could I have watched this with my Mom? : Absolutely NOT.

Language: There is hardly any talking so there isn't much of a chance for any language. (So really, no language.)

Sex/Romance: Only very slight romance between a married couple.

Violence/Gore: Violence, yes. Gore, not really as much. There is blood shown, though.

Music: Beautifully done. But more specifically, the techniques of sound, as well as the use and lack of use of sound in this movie, were a genius move.

Did I feel the need to leave the lights off and sit in silence afterward? : Yes, but I also immediately video-called my sister to rant to her about how good the movie was while the credits were still running!

Thoughts: I liked this one even better than Bird Box. I found the characters more frustrating, but somehow that maybe made it better? It seemed a little more realistic that way, perhaps. I loved the music, the characters, the unique use of sound, the plot, and the creativity. Another true thriller. Also, wow John Krasinski got HOT.

Was this a good use of a night with the house to myself? : Absolutely!

In the End: 4 out of 5 stars. I was certainly not quiet in my enthusiasm for this movie!
