Mr. Church

Rating: PG-13

Could I have watched this with my Dad? : Yeah.

Could I have watched this with my Mom? : Possibly.

Language: Yes. Includes f***ot.

Sex/Romance: No sex, but there is some romance and kissing.

Violence/Gore: No. (Some other warnings, though [SPOILERS?]: There is discussion and/or portrayal of cancer, death, children out of wedlock, physical abuse, drunkenness, and attempted suicide.)

Music: I loved the jazz music, but otherwise didn't really notice the soundtrack.

Did I feel the need to leave the lights off and sit in silence afterwards? : A little bit.

Was there a food pairing? : Yes, beef taquitos that just didn't live up to the expectations I set on them.

Thoughts: I don't have a ton of thoughts on this movie, because I was super sick and out of it when I watched it. But I liked it. It was sweet, and while there were a few points that I felt were unnecessary and distracted from the main plot, in the end I thought it was well done. I almost cried a couple times. It was a sweet movie.

Was this a good use of a night with the house to myself? : I guess, sure.

In the End: 3 out of 5 stars. It didn't quite take me to church, but I did like Mr. Church.
