Rating: TV-MA

Could I have watched this with my Dad? : Yes.

Could I have watched this with my Mom? : Nooo, she would not have liked it.

Language: Yes, in fact it seemed a bit excessive and shoved in there was so much. (Everything including a lot of f-bombs.)

Sex/Romance: A slight hint at a possible spark, but really nothing.

Violence/Gore: Yes, but extremely minimal. And obviously (from the photo) people and animals die.

Music: I honestly didn't take notice of it until the second song in the credits. (Except for every single time the captions read [Ominous Music], which was a lot.)

Did I feel the need to leave the lights off and sit in silence afterwards? : Nah, I was up and moving almost as soon as the credits started to roll.

Was there a food pairing? : No, sadly it wasn't food time.

Thoughts: At first I thought it was a bit corny and forced, but as the movie went on it got better. As I said, the language seemed a bit over the top. Some of it I understood, but a lot of the time it felt like they were just forcing curse words in wherever they could and it wasn't really working. I honestly feel like just cutting back on some of the language could have drastically improved this movie. I liked the plot, and they did a good job keeping the tension going throughout the movie. Some neat new ideas and twists. >WARNING: In about the first half of the movie there a several very loud sounds that come out of nowhere, so maybe don't turn the sound up too loud.< I wasn't sure if I was going to like this movie or not, but when it ended I nodded solemnly and decided I liked it.

Was this a good use of a night with the house to myself? : Yeah, I think so.

In the End: 3 out of 5 stars and a solemn nod of approval.
