The Hundred Foot Journey

Rating: PG

Could I have watched this with my Dad? : Yeah, but it's not up his alley as much.

Could I have watched this with my Mom? : Yeah, and she might have liked it!

Language: Not much.

Sex/Romance: No sex, but there is a fair bit of "romance" and some romantic tension...if that is even a thing...

Violence/Gore: No.

Music: The music was splendid and magical. It really transported me, and I will definitely be buying some of it soon. I absolutely loved how Rahman blended the Indian style music with the cinematic music style and made the music so perfectly fit the blend of cultures, locations, and moods in the film.

Did I feel the need to leave the lights off and sit in silence afterwards? : I might not have felt a need per se, but I kinda did anyway!

Was there a food pairing? : Yes, stir fry. It was pretty tasty.

Thoughts: At first I thought the romance plot lines were a bit contrived and didn't really fit, but as the movie went on I came to accept them. This movie was really sweet and the scenery throughout was gorgeous.

Was this a good use of a night with the house to myself? : Yes, I liked it, and it fit the mood I was looking for really well!

In the End: 4 out of 5 stars, a fun, fairly light watch.
