Language: Mild and minimal.
Sex/Romance: Some slight romantic entanglements.
Violence/Gore: A fair amount of violence, less gore to go along with it. Intimations of the potential to commit suicide to avoid capture. Torture is discussed as well.
Music: Dark, tense, and dramatic.
Thoughts: This was a well-done finale to the Hunger Games series. I think the books were better, but the movies did a good job with the time and other limitations they had (namely wanting to keep a PG-13 rating). Overall, the movie was much less violent and gory than the book.
Some things I missed:
Plutarch's involvment. Philip Seymour Hoffman unfortunately died during the filming of the final two movies, and as such they drastically cut his part from part 2 especially. He had some really good stuff in the books, and I missed that.
I especially missed the development of Johanna and Katniss' relationship.
More nuance in relationships, but especially between Katniss and Coin.
More depth of the lasting trauma inflicted by everything these characters go through and their struggle and fight to survive and/or recover.
In the End: 4 out of 5 stars, and I mean...the book prepared me for the end.
