The Last Witch Hunter

Summary:

Rating: PG-13

Could I have watched this with my Dad? : Yes!

Could I have watched this with my Mom? : She probably wouldn't like it, but possibly.

Language: I only recall b**ch popping up once.

Sex/Romance: There is reference to a character sleeping with stewardesses.

Violence/Gore: Yes, some of both. (The guy hunts witches. You can't exactly expect there to be no violence or gore.)

Music: I KNOW I recognize Steve Jablonsky, that is a very recognizable name! But in looking him up, I'm still unsure why I recognize his name! But, yeah, good score.

Did I feel the need to leave the lights off and sit in silence afterward? : Not really.

Was there a food pairing? : Parmesan Garlic Noodles. Easy and delicious.

Thoughts: First, we get to see Vin Diesel rockin' both of these looks-

So it was already doing well in my book.

We get some classic Vin Diesel action, but this time with some fun fantasy/witchy/alternate-history adventure thrown in! I loved the plotline, the characters, the music, and the really gorgeous details. Everything worked together to ensure this wasn't just another action movie, but something more substantial with a lot of history and lore as well.

I do have a slight phobia of flying bugs, so some parts of this were very-

but I got through it 👍

I absolutely loved the Riddick reference.

The ending felt a bit forced, and it felt like they were forcing it in the direction they did to make room for a potential sequel(s). By the way, Vin Diesel did say just earlier this year that a sequel was in the works! And to be honest, I'm not that mad. It may not have been the best ending, but I am actually kind of excited and hopeful to see more of Kaulder!

Was this a good use of a night with the house to myself? : Yep!

In the End: 4 out of 5 stars. Say "Witch Hunter" 😁
