Language: 1 d*mn, 1 a**, 1 p**sy
Sex/Romance: We see the back of a woman wearing only underwear (no bra) and it is obvious the couple had sex. We also get some sexual moaning over a radio with another "obvious they have sex" moment, and some light romance. Somebody had to go and be a serial womanizer.
Violence/Gore: <<<<<<<<<<<<<SPOILER>>>>>>>>>>>>> A man burns to death in a malfunctioning electric shock chair. <<<<<<<<<<END SPOILER>>>>>>>>>> There is plenty of death in general, but not much gore. Also, some torture and discussion of torture.
Thoughts: Besides the incredible amount of style and abounding good looks, I also loved that there were strong, unapologetic women on both sides of the conflict.
When I found out the movie was based on an old TV series and that there was also a series of books to along with it, I was ecstatic. I was hopeful that the TV series would be similar to the original Mission Impossible TV series that my family so loved, but alas, it was not. As the books are written in conjunction with the original series I'm no longer as interested, so it may be a while yet before I try them out. And finally, the original series also spawned a spinoff, The Girl From U.N.C.L.E. That one is much harder to find, so it might also take a while to get ahold of. But, I can say with certainty that I would LOVE to see a similar movie adaptation of The Girl From U.N.C.L.E. You don't gotta ask me twice about that one!
Fantastic story, thrilling chemistry between our three protagonists, a grand soundtrack, and a well-executed vision all combine to make this a stellar watch for the whole family!
In the End: 5 out of 5 stars. Loving your work, and hoping to see more of it soon!
