Thoughts: This is one from my bookshelves. Having just read Ms. Morgenstern's latest book, "The Starless Sea," at the beginning of the year, I had her distinct style of magic on my mind. With everything that has been going on the world lately I started to need an escape rather desperately. I considered reading "The Starless Sea" again until I realized that it hadn't been "forever" since I read it but only a few months. If I'm being honest, though, it was really a few different cosplayers on TikTok that reminded me of "The Night Circus" and fueled my desire to get lost in its dream-world again. I adore this book, and am always in awe of the author's ability to craft a story that is read out of order but still makes total sense. I also really appreciated how the author made the best use of all sensory information in creating the magical world of the circus. This book, its story and characters, are all magical. It is enchanting and will completely transport you. If you're looking for an escape, then try The Night Circus.
In the end: 4 out of 5 stars. I was looking for an escape and I found one...
