Could I have watched this with my Mom? : Yeah I don't think she would have liked it.
Language: Yes. A single use of BS was most of it, though.
Sex/Romance: No sex, but a little romance. There is also a woman naked in the shower, but the glass is fogged and has a design on it, so it isn't too bad, but I still looked away. (It may not have been terrible, but it was still gross!)
Violence/Gore: There is a small bit of violence, and there is definitely some gore.
Music: Well, I love James Newton Howard's stuff, so I was tickled and excited when I saw his name in the opening credits! He did a great job setting and enhancing the mood throughout the movie.
Did I feel the need to leave the lights off and sit in silence afterwards? : I probably would have if STUPID NETFLIX HADN'T KEPT TRYING TO MAKE ME MOVE ON. In case you can't tell, I passionately HATE Netflix's stupid game of, "Oh, let's cut off the credits, rip you out of the mood, and force one of our ads on you! Also, let's just say that I finished the credits listening at a +6 (a -12 usually rattles the windows). The credits are quiet enough that you can safely turn the volume way up for...whatever reason....(*hint hint*)
Was there a food pairing? : Yes, Mom was out of town, so we...(don't tell her)...we ordered pizza for the second time in three nights. Also, the frozen leftovers of a Chick-Fil-A cookies and cream shake.
Thoughts: Wow. When M. Night Shyamalan does a movie right, he does it right. I loved this movie, and I am so happy and proud that I made it nearly 25 years on this green earth and didn't have this movie spoiled for me! That's about all I can say. I'm afraid if I keep talking I will start spoiling things...
Was this a good use of a night with just Dad? : Oh heck yeah, dude. I'm so glad I got to watch it with him, and I can't wait to watch The Village with him to kind of trade Shyamalan movies!
In the End: 5 out of 5 stars! Yo no quiero morir!
