Thick as Thieves (The Queen's Thief #5)

Book 5 in The Queen's Thief series

Final Summary:

Total Hours to Read: Just under 4

--Average pages per minute: 1.47

Sex/Romance: There is some light mention of warm feelings for people and that's about it for romance. There is some mention of "dancing girls" and women being sold and made wives of.

Language: Minimal use of d**n.

Violence: There is some violence, but nothing gratuitous.

Thoughts: This is my least favorite of the series (but it still gets 4 stars!) simply because Eugenides hardly shows up at all. The story was still very good, though, and you are once again left wondering at how the author consistently pulls off such amazing deceptions!

I loved following the journey and individual growth of the two protagonists as well as the slow growth of their relationship. A bit slow-moving, but never dull, their adventure was a great way to pass the time between The King of Attolia and the final book of Return of the Thief!

Being the most recent book in the series means that this was only my second time reading it, so it was refreshing to get an updated perspective again on where everything stands before the final book ships out today. I can't wait to read it!

In the end: 4 out of 5 stars, and thanks for teaching me the word "amanuensis."
